because so many of you wanted to know how i work heres some progression shots for the first of these [link]
which i'm only doing now cause he's gonna buy me lunch
so i start with a base sketch with some quick lines, i use a standard hard round brush, one of the defaults with shape dynamics and other dynamics checked. under other dynamics opacity and flow are set to pen pressure though i usually change the flow jitter to like 30% or something so i can sketch lightly
usually i go through a few base sketches to see what i like and after i choose one i do a more refined sketch
then its fixing up some errors if i happen to catch them and then putting down some flats
after that i merge the lineart sketch layer with the flat colour layer and paint over it i use colours from the same spectrum of the flat colours i selected and then add other colours if it works
then i add random stuff and graphic design things and its all polish from then on
i dont' usually paint on a white background cause its harder for me to choose the right colours but i forgot this time round so whatevs.
Great Work.
